On A Kansas Farm

Staying during Christmas 1979 on a Kansas farm I became part of something surreal and wonderful. It was set low in a river bed so you did not see it from the road becoming a life on it's own that nobody saw.
There were no cell phones at that time, not even a thought of one and no cable out there, adjusting the tv antenna back and forth to watch The Farm Report at night.
Marsha made ham and beans that cooked all day.
There was a life of animals in the middle of nowhere in Kansas, talking and playing, sleeping and eating over and over again every day. There was no end to it.
If you don't talk to anyone but animals you become different.
It is a nice life on a farm.
